GET THE FRIENDS OF DEVELOPERS OFF CITY COUNCIL

No more expensive towers. End homelessness and increase livability. We need community-oriented growth with full access to services, amenities, green areas, and local shops

We need to put city development under NEIGHBOURHOOD CONTROL:
  • We need to vote on to establish for each neighbourhood a minimum quota of: rental and below-market housing units, park land, recreation and community centres, childcare facilities, libraries, public services such as health care and social support, locally-owned businesses;

  • we need to implement that City-Wide Plan under neighbourhood control: Neighbourhood residents vote on the specifics of its implementation in their area (type of buildings, location, etc), with the opportunity to attend panel discussions, with speakers in favour of and against City proposals.
