We danced to the tunes of two great rock bands and enjoyed listening to a Peruvian virtuoso

Bean and beef stew in green sauce served with white rice, yucca, and raw onions seasoned with lemon and aji
Humitas
Humitas are prepared with fresh corn combined with queso fresco [cheese]. They are also called "tamales verdes."
Mazamorra Morada
A popular Lima dessert that you find sold from street carts to Peru's finest restaurants. Made from purple corn, it has a creamy consistency and contains sweet potato flour, pineapple, dried prunes, apple, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves
